I spent my early career in non-profit development — basically making connections for a living. Volunteers, donors, communities. People were my whole job and I was obsessed with it.

And overnight, everything changed. The world got rocked in 2020, I moved back home to Houston, and landed in a stable corporate role. It’s a good job! Really. But I was a curious, loud, passionate girlie at a corporate desk with a whole lot of untapped creative energy on her hands.

 A few years back, a random waiter handed me a gemstone out of nowhere. I've carried it everywhere since. That's when I started understanding that gems carry something. Energy, intention, meaning.

In 2022 I got a permanent bracelet welded on during a trip with girlfriends. One day driving home from the office, I looked down and thought, “I wonder if I could do that?” My audacity replied, “duh!” That week I ordered a welder and taught myself on Youtube.

When I set up for my first Spark party, I knew I’d have a blast helping people choose their chains and add their charms. But with each person that sat on my cutie pink stool, they yapped and I gabbed and realized that it was about something much bigger than the jewelry. 

My Gram passed last year. And I carry her with me into every single event, every weld, every moment someone sits in my chair. She always believed in what I could do. So I just keep doing it, knowing she’s with me always.
